Data Engineer

A Data Engineer works with business owners to develop and define key business questions, and engineering teams to understand data sources, and transforms data into actionable business information. Data Engineers strive to develop and operate stable, scalable, low cost solutions to flow data from production systems into the data warehouse and into end-user facing applications and will engineer data transformations that combine data from diverse systems to create business intelligence. They diagnose and fix complex data integrity problems, and data warehouse operational problems.
The candidate must be a leader who can draw upon solid analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, and development skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to deal with technical and business ambiguity while delivering clarity of vision for projects and programs.
  • Solid communication and influencing skills, adjusting style to effectively collaborate with Software Engineers to Business Leaders.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in technology or business.
  • 7+ years experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining large-scale data warehouse systems in a relational database environment.
  • Dimensional Modeling experience based on the Kimball methodology.
· Informatica PowerCenter administration and development using PowerCenter 8.0 or newer. 
· Experience defining complex SQL Queries.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in technology.
  • Strategic thinking to creative and detailed team leadership skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communications skills.
